Each week, we feature five organizations in the Tampa Bay area that need your input, whether that\u2019s time, talent, items, funding or simply awareness. We\u2019re certain you\u2019ll find something here that matches your interests and will positively impact the community.\"\"<\/p>\n

Volunteer with Neighborly<\/p>\n

Since 1966, Neighborly Senior Care Network, based in Clearwater, has been serving the elderly population in Pinellas County with programs to improve health, wellness and independent living for individuals and families.<\/p>\n

Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas:<\/p>\n

Senior Caf\u00e9: Assist staff with packing totes and meals, help with meal service, clean bins, roll silverware and engage with dining site participants. Shifts are Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Meals on Wheels: Deliver lunchtime meals to homebound seniors throughout Pinellas County. Shifts usually last about two hours \u2013 most often weekdays between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Transportation Drivers: Transport Neighborly clients to and from medical appointments and pharmacies. No wheelchairs or lifting involved. Shifts usually last two to four hours between 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Volunteers must pass a background check and attend an in-person orientation.<\/p>\n

1980s Murder Mystery Charity Dinner<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Fraternal Order of Eagles 3452 is hosting a 1980s Reunion Murder Mystery Charity Dinner, \u201cPanic at the Prom,\u201d Saturday, June 6 from 6 until 8 p.m. Guests watch the mystery unfold and together help solve the case.<\/p>\n

Proceeds will benefit Hope Villages, whose mission is to support Pinellas County neighbors who are facing hunger, homelessness, domestic violence or a lack of basic needs.<\/p>\n

Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite \u201980s gear.<\/p>\n

Dinner will include salad, a full pasta bar, breadsticks and dessert. Also included are a 50\/50 raffle and prizes for the best dressed and biggest \u201980s hair.<\/p>\n

The event will take place at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1485 Gulf to Bay Boulevard, Clearwater.<\/p>\n

Cleanup at Madeira Beach<\/p>\n

MAR (Mindful Action for Regeneration) is hosting a Madeira beach clean-up event Saturday, June 13 from 9 until 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

Volunteers will work together to remove litter and marine debris from the beach and contribute to a healthier environment.<\/p>\n

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes or sandals.\u00a0 Sunscreen, a hat and work gloves are recommended. Cleanup supplies, including buckets, grabbers and trash bags will be provided.<\/p>\n

Volunteers 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n

The meeting location is Archibald Beach Park, 15100 Gulf Blvd., Madeira Beach. Parking will be validated for volunteers.<\/p>\n

\nVolunteer at the Largo Golf Course<\/p>\n

The Largo Golf Course is seeking volunteers to assist with several areas of the operation, including the cart barn, starter, ranger, maintenance and more.<\/p>\n

Volunteers are an important part of the daily golf course experience and help the team provide excellent customer service to patrons and the community.<\/p>\n

Dairy Queen Balloon Campaign<\/p>\n

For 42 years, the Children\u2019s Miracle Network and Dairy Queen have partnered together to raise and donate more than $195 million to member children\u2019s hospitals.<\/p>\n

These funds support critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services.<\/p>\n

From June 1 through July 30, participating Dairy Queen locations in Pinellas and neighboring counties will donate proceeds from the sale of Children\u2019s Miracle Network balloon icons to John Hopkins All Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n

And on July 30, Miracle Treat Day, participating locations will also donate proceeds from the sale of all Dairy Queen Blizzards to All Children\u2019s.<\/p>\n
