A man was arrested in Cape Coral on May 28 after being accused of driving over 100 mph in a 50 mph zone.<\/p>\n

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, Anthony Melendez Torres, 20, drove past an officer near 1900 Veterans Parkway East in a white Mustang while traveling at 108 mph.<\/p>\n

The officer conducted a traffic stop on Torres, who offered no explanation as to why he was driving so fast, CCPD said. <\/p>\n
