Art OUT returns to St. Pete this June with a colorful, two-stop showcase to celebrate Pride Month. Now in its ninth year, the show kicks off at the James Museum (150 Central Ave) before settling in at the Gulfport Public Library (5501 28th Ave S) for the rest of the month.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s exhibition features more than 100 pieces from 50 artists, offering a vibrant mix of perspectives, mediums, and voices from across the community. From the openly joyful to the deeply personal, the show spans everything from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed media.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Be the first to see the art<\/p>\n

The opening reception takes place at the James Museum Tuesday, June 2, from 6-8 pm, and tickets are available here<\/a>. Priced at $25, admission includes beer, wine, light bites, and a complimentary pass to the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The evening is designed to be a lively, come-as-you-are gathering, with live entertainment and plenty of opportunities to meet and chat with the artists. A panel of jurors\u2014John Gascot, Tracey \u201cArtist\u201d Jones, Mark Williams, and Jan Richardson\u2014will announce this year\u2019s award winners during the event, adding an extra layer of excitement to the night.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an easy way to elevate a Tuesday evening and support local artists as Pride Month kicks off in St. Pete.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A show with staying power<\/p>\n

If you can\u2019t make the reception, don\u2019t worry, the exhibition isn\u2019t going anywhere just yet. After opening night, Art OUT moves to the Gulfport Public Library, where it will remain on display throughout June.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The library will also host a Pre-Pride Artist Meet & Greet on Saturday, June 6, from 11 am \u2013 1 pm, offering another chance to connect with the artists in a casual setting (no tickets required).<\/p>\n

Bringing the show to Gulfport and spreading it across the area makes it even easier to visit, whether you stop in during a lunch break or wander through on a weekend. The library is open Monday through Friday from 10 am \u2013 7 pm and Saturday from 10 am \u2013 4 pm (closed Sunday).\u00a0<\/p>\n
