During their early 80&#8217;s run, they sold\u202fa collective total of 20 million copies of their first three albums (Lost in Love,\u202fThe One That You Love,\u202fNow &amp; Forever) and the 1983\u202fGreatest Hits\u202fcollection\u202fand\u202fachieved\u202fmulti-million radio plays for five of their hits,\u202fincluding Sweet Dreams and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadwayworld.com\/people\/Jim-Steinman\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jim Steinman<\/a>-penned Making Love Out of Nothing At All.\u202fIn 2010, the year Air Supply released their last studio album\u202fMumbo Jumbo, Graham was honored\u202fwith a BMI Million-Air Certificate recognizing three million performances of All Out\u202fof Love.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0; margin-right:0\">\u201cWhen it comes to our longevity, it&#8217;s sometimes hard to think about it, but Russell and I do often, usually while we&#8217;re traveling between cities,\u201d says Graham. \u201cYou can never imagine being in a band or being an artist for that long, so\u202fit&#8217;s\u202fnot easy to wrap your thoughts around it. When we started having some success, we thought\u202fwe&#8217;d\u202fbe around for a few years. Then as the years roll by,\u202fall of\u202fa\u202fsudden\u202fwe&#8217;re at\u202fa half\u202fcentury since we met and people still enjoy hearing our songs and seeing us perform them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0; margin-right:0\">\u201cIf I could pinpoint the reason,\u201d he adds, \u201cit&#8217;s\u202fbecause our music has never really been in\u202fstyle\u202fbut it also never goes out of style.\u202fWe&#8217;ve\u202fnever followed any trends or been fashionable, but heartfelt love songs always seem to endure. And beyond simply making great records, we love hearing from fans around the world, particularly after our shows, saying things like, \u2018God you have no idea what this song means to me or how it saved me from this or that.&#8217; Having been a\u202fsongwriter for over 64 years now,\u202fit&#8217;s\u202fparticularly gratifying to hear that those songs\u202fI&#8217;ve\u202fwritten still resonate like that.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0; margin-right:0\">Air Supply audiences have already been smiling widely as the band performs the album&#8217;s symphonic, high spirited lead single Wrap My Arms Around You amidst their cavalcade of hits. Graham wrote the song during the pandemic, reflecting on the importance of physical human connection and a time when people would once again be able to hug their friends and loved ones without fear.
