As the weather is getting hotter, so is Clemson on the recruiting trail. Monday was a giant day for the Tigers, landing multiple commitments, including the son of a former Georgia star.<\/p>\n
David Pollack was a menacing defensive end for many schools in the Southeastern Conference during his playing days for the Bulldogs. Clemson is hoping his son, Nick Pollack, will do the same, just on the other side of the football at tight end.<\/p>\n
Pollack (6-3, 220) of Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee committed to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over Wake Forest, Cincinnati and others. Pollack announced his pledge to the Tigers via social media on Monday.<\/p>\n
Pollack, a teammate of current Clemson commit Harrison Luke, joins Carter Blackwell as the second tight end to commit to the Tigers during this recruiting cycle.<\/p>\n
The Tigers gained another commitment from nearly 1,400 miles away. 2027 OL Luke Starcevic (6-5, 250) of Kindred, N.D., announced his pledge to the Tigers around dinnertime on Monday. He chose Clemson over Notre Dame and Kansas State.<\/p>\n
Starcevic, who was in town for the official visit weekend, was impressed enough with Clemson to put a halt to his recruitment.<\/p>\n

The jumbo athlete has some schools recruiting him as a tight end like Oregon. Kansas State liked him as a potential defensive end, sending the entire defensive staff to North Dakota for an in-home visit. Clemson favors him as an offensive tackle and rose very quickly to secure his commitment.<\/p>\n
The North Dakota prospect also plays basketball and baseball, while competing in track and field.<\/p>\n
