The Black Crowes’ lead singer Chris Robinson has upset the crowd at a concert in Tampa, Florida
During a stop on the band’s summer Southern Hospitality Tour, Robinson was about to sing the group’s hit 1990 ballad She Talks to Angels, when the politically-charged clash began.

In response to an Uncle Sam character seen in a graphic on a screen behind the band, the crowd at the venue began a “U.S.A.” chant, TMZ reported.

At this, the Atlanta-born vocalist sarcastically told the audience, “Thanks for the geography lesson. I don’t know what you have to be so proud of right now.”

Those words led people to boo the rocker, with some leaving the venue in protest.

“For those of you f**king booing us,” Robinson asserted, “some of us are not afraid and we most assuredly are not f**king ignorant.”

Robinson’s comments drew a backlash from erstwhile fans on social media.

“Just left your concert in Tampa,” one user posted. “F**k y’all and your political BS! People just wanted to come and hear good music. Half the people left when stupid ass CR went political. So stupid. Not a fan anymore.”

Having grown up in Atlanta, Georgia, Robinson has been critical in the past of conservative rhetoric, but has otherwise described himself as “not interested in politics”.

The Black Crowes’ lead singer Chris Robinson has upset the crowd at a concert in Tampa, FloridaDuring a…

[6
123597,28,30,29,123598,135,122274
post-292792","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-florida","tag-chris-robinson","tag-florida","tag-florida-headlines","tag-florida-news","tag-southern-hospitality-tour","tag-tampa","tag-the-black-crowes
["GET
