JetBlue Airways is preparing to enter Venezuela for the first
\ntime, betting on strong travel demand between Caracas and South
\nFlorida as it broadens its footprint in the region,
\nAeroTime reported.<\/p>\n
\nThe carrier said it plans to introduce nonstop flights linking
\nFort Lauderdale and Caracas before the end of 2026, creating a new
\nconnection between one of the largest Venezuelan communities in the
\nUnited States and the South American nation\u2019s main international
\ngateway.<\/p>\n
\nThe move forms part of a wider growth strategy centred on Fort
\nLauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, where JetBlue expects
\nto operate nearly 130 daily departures during the summer season.
\nThe airline has recently unveiled what it describes as its largest
\nschedule from the airport, adding new destinations and increasing
\nfrequencies across markets in the US, Latin America and the
\nCaribbean.<\/p>\n
\nBy routing Caracas passengers through Fort Lauderdale, JetBlue
\nalso aims to offer access to its broader network beyond South
\nFlorida. The airline said the service is expected to cater largely
\nto travellers visiting friends and relatives, a segment that has
\nbecome increasingly important on routes serving Venezuela.<\/p>\n
\nFlights are slated to be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft
\nequipped with the carrier\u2019s standard onboard amenities, including
\ncomplimentary internet access, seatback entertainment and free
\nsnacks and beverages.<\/p>\n
\nThe planned launch would further expand the roster of US
\nairlines serving Venezuela. JetBlue’s arrival would place it
\nalongside American Airlines in the market, while United Airlines is
\nalso expected to resume Venezuelan operations later in 2026.<\/p>\n
