A teacher at a South Florida high school was arrested Monday and accused of engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n

The suspect is 53-year-old Michael Enriquez, who is listed as a science teacher at American Senior High School on the school\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff’s office, Enriquez began having conversations with a 17-year-old female student last year, and those conversations turned to sexual acts. <\/p>\n

Authorities said he continued the sexual relationship with the student until May 2026, after the student had turned 18.<\/p>\n

He is facing charges including unlawful sexual activity with a specified minor, lewd and lascivious touching, and offenses against students by authority figures.<\/p>\n
