Gumball 3000<\/p>\n

This 3,000-mile supercar rally \u2014 from SoFlo to Mexico \u2014 will feature celebrity drivers such as rapper Eve<\/a>, \u201cFast & Furious\u201d star Michelle Rodriguez, former soccer player Patrice Evra<\/a>, electronic dance music artists Deadmau5, Afrojack and Vikkstar. There will also be cars on display and entertainment as part of this Gumball festival. Organizers promise \u201ca surprise global celebrity\u201d will wave the start flag from the porte cochere of the Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood to set more than 100 drivers off on the first stage of Gumball 3000<\/a>. The kick-off is here, but the rally goes on for six days, traversing Louisiana, Texas and Mexico City.<\/p>\n

\nFestival Repertory Theatre 2026<\/p>\n

Florida Atlantic University\u2019s summertime theater and concert series will open with the murder mystery \u201cThe Hollow.\u201d<\/a> The performance festival has scheduled \u201cLittle Women: The Musical\u201d in July and two big band concerts (with lindy hop and jitterbug dancers) in August.<\/p>\n

WHEN: \u201cThe Hollow\u201d showtime is at 7 p.m. June 12-27<\/p>\n

WHERE: Marleen Forkas Studio One Theatre at FAU, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton<\/a>; the big band concerts in August will take place in the campus\u2019 Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium<\/p>\n

Alan Jackson\u2019s 5 O\u2019Clock Somewhere Fest<\/p>\n

This first-ever country music festival will bring the likes of Ella Langley, Old Dominion, Clint Black, Dylan Scott, Shenandoah, Allen Stone, John Anderson and Rodney Atkins, as well as Jimmy Buffett<\/a>\u2018s Coral Reefer Band (made up of the late singer-songwriter\u2019s touring\/recording musicians) and tribute band Jammy Buffet. Of course, Alan Jackson \u2014 whose coastal country megahit recorded with Buffett serves as the name of the festival \u2014 will take to the stage, as will comedian Dusty Slay and JD Spradlin of Sirius XM\u2019s \u201cRadio Margaritaville,\u201d who will host. Why launch the festival in West Palm Beach? Well, Jackson recorded the music video for \u201cIt\u2019s 5 O\u2019Clock Somewhere\u201d<\/a> here, and he used to have a home in the area.<\/p>\n

This night market event will have vendors offering everything from art and handmade goods to fashion and food. There will also be a soul and blues performance by ReaXtion Band<\/a>. The event is scheduled for the fourth Friday of every third month.<\/p>\n

\nCaribbean American Heritage Festival<\/p>\n

June is National Caribbean American Heritage Month and the city of Pembroke Pines will pay homage with this free family-friendly festival. In addition to reggae, soca and kompa music \u2014 from Wayne Wonder<\/a>, Tricia Lee Kelshall<\/a>, Devine Songz<\/a> and more \u2014 there will be entertainment from the Lauderhill Steel Ensemble<\/a>, comedian\/mc Nikki Crosby,<\/a> DJ T-Rex and the Moko Jumbies from the U.S. Virgin Islands. Also, check out the island cuisine, showcases of dry goods, cultural exhibits and interactive experiences, as well as an arts and craft activity presented by the Island Space Caribbean Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n
