At a show in Ft. Lauderdale the night before their Tampa, Fla., stop, the band performed \u201cShe Talks to Angels\u201d to a warm, largely positive response, with a fan video posted online<\/a> showing cheers and no audible backlash.<\/p>\n But the mood shifted in Tampa, where the same song played alongside a video of a band character dressed as Uncle Sam sparked loud \u201cUSA!\u201d chants from the crowd. Frontman Chris Robinson responded from the stage, quipping, \u201cThanks for the geography<\/a> lesson,\u201d before adding, \u201cI don\u2019t know what you have to be so proud of right now,\u201d which ultimately drew boos, according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a separate video obtained by TMZ, Robinson is seen doubling down on the reaction, saying, \u201cFor those of you f\u2014king booing us, some of us are not afraid. And we most assuredly are not f\u2014king ignorant.\u201d<\/p>\n The band later appeared unbothered in an Instagram video<\/a> from a Tampa Bay Rays game on their night off, singing \u201cTake Me Out to the Ball Game.\u201d Some commenters continued the debate in the replies, with a mix of trolling and support. Several people simply wrote “USA!” in a thread on the post, whereas others commented about how the band got booed at their show. Support came in remarks, wondering what the crowd expected from this band. “Seriously, did anybody expect Chris to NOT speak about this?!??” one person wrote.<\/p>\n The incident may take the top spot for the most unusual thing to happen at a Black Crowes concert<\/a>. Robinson recently said that honor previously went to a fan who claimed someone peed on a friend\u2019s wife\u2019s leg during a show.
