PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 A man in St. Petersburg is currently facing charges of aggravated child abuse for allegedly hitting the kid with a hammer.<\/p>\n<p>The St. Petersburg Police Department arrested Ferid Bajric, 45, after they say he abused a child using a hammer to hit the minor on top of his head, according to the arrest report reviewed by 10 Tampa Bay News.<\/p>\n<p>This incident occurred on Monday, in the area of Beach Drive NE, in St. Pete.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the kid required hospitalization and was treated for his injuries.
