{"id":296236,"date":"2026-06-04T19:51:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/296236\/"},"modified":"2026-06-04T19:51:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:51:16","slug":"orlando-developer-wins-deal-of-the-year-award-from-cfcar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/296236\/","title":{"rendered":"Orlando developer wins Deal of the Year award from CFCAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The newly renovated global headquarters for timeshare company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandleisureco.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Travel + Leisure Co.<\/a> was recognized as the Deal of the Year at the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors, or CFCAR, Hallmark Awards on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>With development led by Orlando-based <a href=\"https:\/\/interstructinc.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Interstruct Design + Build<\/a>, who served as general contractor on the project, the new Travel + Leisure Co. headquarters opened in January.<\/p>\n<p>Working to restore an existing five-story building located at 501 W. (Photo by RiMO Photo)<\/p>\n<p>Previously operating from the Sea Harbor Office Center across from SeaWorld near International Drive, Travel + Leisure\u2019s new headquarters brought 900 employees to the city\u2019s downtown core and represents $36 million in capital investment as part of a public-private partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Interstruct collaborated with the City of Orlando, Orlando Economic Partnership, FloridaCommerce, CBRE, commercial furniture partner CI Group, property owner Piedmont Office Realty Trust, design firm ASD\u23d0SKY, and the city\u2019s Community Redevelopment Agency to build out the renovated headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>Amenities within the new hybrid-friendly Travel + Leisure headquarters include a 2,300-square-foot fitness center, an on-site health clinic and wellness rooms on each floor. The winners all came from the Orlando area:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alakai-capital.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alakai Capital<\/a> for its adaptive reuse of the historic Lamp &amp; Shade Fair into Lamp &amp; Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails eatery in the Mills 50 district<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.meetatrium.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atrium Development Group<\/a> for its work in developing the 27-unit Milk Stacks boutique apartment building in the Milk District<br \/>\nInterstruct Design + Build for adaptive reuse of a 74-year-old warehouse, turning it into the company\u2019s new headquarters in Parramore<\/p>\n<p>The association also honored four recipients with the 2026 Legacy Award for their lasting impact on the CRE industry. The recipients are Mark Allen, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandocommercialrealestate.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Commercial Real Estate Professionals, Inc<\/a>; Rick Orr, <a href=\"https:\/\/totalcommercial.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TotalCommercial.com<\/a>; Soozi Jones Walker, President and Broker at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cevegas.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Commercial Executives Real Estate Services<\/a>; and Marion Skilling.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie Brenner, David Brenner and Ben Brenner of <a href=\"https:\/\/cbrenner.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CBrenner Inc.<\/a>, representing three generations who all achieved CCIM designations, took home the Generational Excellence Award.<\/p>\n<p>Paul P.
