Jennifer\u2019s Boutique is inviting the community to help fight hunger this summer through its annual food drive benefiting Community Cooperative. \u00a0During June, shoppers who donate 10 or more non-perishable food items will receive 20% off their entire purchase.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cFor 14 years, our customers have shown incredible generosity in supporting Community Cooperative through this summer tradition,\u201d said Jennifer Williams. \u201cEvery donation helps local families put food on the table, and we\u2019re grateful to partner with an organization that does so much for our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Summer can be one of the most challenging times for families experiencing food insecurity, according to Stefanie Ink, Chief Executive Officer of Community Cooperative. \u201cMany children no longer have access to school meal programs during the summer months, which places added strain on household budgets. Support from community partners like Jennifer\u2019s helps us meet the growing need and continue serving families across Southwest Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last year, Jennifer\u2019s customers donated more than 900 pounds of food. This year, the boutique hopes to collect even more to support Community Cooperative\u2019s food pantry and outreach efforts.<\/p>\n
Most-needed donation items include:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Canned tuna, chicken, ham and beef<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Beans, canned vegetables and canned fruit<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Brown rice, whole wheat pasta and pasta sauce<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Soup, cereal, macaroni and cheese<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Hamburger, chicken or tuna helper meals<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Kid-friendly snacks and allergy-free foods<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Canned milk<\/p>\n

Since 1984, Community Cooperative has provided food, education and social service programs to individuals and families throughout Southwest Florida, helping neighbors in need move toward stability and self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n
