The City of St Petersburg is helping residents with preparation for this years hurricane season.<\/p>\n

According to a press release from the City of St Petersburg, \u201cEarly preparation is critical to your safety, as well as the safety of your family and your property. By taking proactive steps now, residents can minimize risks and be ready to respond quickly when severe weather threatens our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandbag pick up for before the storms<\/p>\n

City of St Petersburg offers residents free sandbags during non-emergency times. Pick up is available at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building on the second Saturday of each month. The building is located at 1744 9th Ave. N and hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
