TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tis the season for cooler weather. A true cold front has brought some cooler air to the region and will stick around through the end of your weekend.<\/p>\n

A chill as you step out the door this morning with temperatures in the 50s across the area. Last time we had consecutive nights in the 50s was in April. The normal morning temperature for early October is in the low 60s. <\/p>\n

A pesky upper-level low is going to keep clouds around for your Sunday. The day will look like rain at times, but the chance of any rain is very low. Temperatures will reach the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon and not as breezy as yesterday.<\/p>\n

Skies will clear tonight allowing the thermometer will fall into the low 50s across North Florida and South Georgia. It will definitely be jacket weather for you and the kids as you head out the door and get ready for school on Monday morning. <\/p>\n

Sunny skies will lead to a warmer afternoon with highs in the mid 80s on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

High pressure builds in through the end of the week looks cool to start the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 80s with sunny skies. We will not get to enjoy the breeze with the warmth we have had over the last few days. <\/p>\n

With the lack of rain, the drought will likely worsen over the next week. The majority of the area is under a moderate to severe drought. The water bills are going to stay high for everyone, especially the farmers trying to maintain crops.<\/p>\n

To the Atlantic, the tropics have some activity, but nothing to worry about. Jerry is no longer a tropical storm. There is a tropical wave that will likely organize into something next week. There is no threat to land.<\/p>\n

Hurricane season continues through the end of November. <\/p>\n
