\n\t\u201cWe back, baby!\u201d Those were the words Tyler Hubbard shouted to the packed crowd at Nashville\u2019s Nissan Stadium Thursday night (June 4), when Florida Georgia Line<\/a> thrilled the audience during the first night of CMA Fest with a surprise performance.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Ella Langley\u2019s performance, revered ring announcer Michael Buffer announced the duo\u2019s list of accomplishments, among them the RIAA Diamond-certified single \u201cCruise.\u201d He then introduced Hubbard and Kelley, who were each positioned on opposite sides of the stadium. Fans went into a frenzy as the two began singing their hit \u201c\u2018Round Here,\u201d each making their way to a stage in the center of the stadium. Kelley and Hubbard hugged each other as they met at the center of the stage and continued with the song.<\/p>\n

\n\tThen, Hubbard addressed the crowd, saying, \u201cCMA Fest, it feels so good to be here with my brother. And listen, we got three things we want to say tonight. First of all, God is good. Second of all, life is short. And most importantly, your boys \u2026 we back, baby!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRumors had swirled of a potential FGL reunion during CMA Fest when the duo\u2019s official Instagram account, which had been dormant since 2023, was suddenly changed. The account\u2019s profile photo switched to \u201cFGL LFG,\u201d signaling the start of something fresh for the duo. A billboard in Nashville also shared a number fans could text. The message they received read, \u201cTurns out, some things are just better together. Much more to come. FGL LFG.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOf course, this isn\u2019t the first time the duo has performed together this year. They previously joined forces during Country Radio Seminar in Nashville earlier this year to help honor Jason Aldean by performing Aldean\u2019s song \u201cYou Make It Easy,\u201d which FGL cowrote. That performance marked the duo\u2019s first together in nearly four years.<\/p>\n

\n\tFGL split in 2022 due to the duo\u2019s differing views<\/a> over how to balance FGL\u2019s music with pursuing solo careers. Each ended up putting out solo projects. They began spending more time together recently, with Kelley posting<\/a> a video from a hike he took with Hubbard in January. They were also spotted together at the CMA Awards last fall.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the ACM Awards in May, Hubbard also noted<\/a> that FGL was \u201ctoying around\u201d with the idea of playing a few shows in 2027. Making the group\u2019s reunion on such a huge platform as CMA Fest makes the notion of full-fledged FGL reunion shows an even deeper probability.<\/p>\n
