(CBS12) \u2014 Surveillance footage captured the shocking moment a car violently slammed into a Florida family\u2019s home, revealing the terrifying impact that left the house in ruins.<\/p>\n<p>According to our news partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/traffic\/2026\/06\/01\/video-shows-car-plowing-into-miami-dade-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WPLG<\/a>,  the crash occurred on Sunday night in Richmond Heights at the corner of Monroe Street and Douglas Drive, leaving nearby residents shaken. <\/p>\n<p>Errol Gunter, a resident of the affected home, told WPLG, \u201cIt felt like an earthquake; the house shook. I can\u2019t believe it was only 16 inches from where my mom was sitting in the living room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The impact of the crash was so harsh that it demolished the front fence of the house and scattered debris across the yard. We&#8217;ve lived here for 36 years, and this is the first time anything like this has happened,\u201d Gunter told WPLG. With their home now uninhabitable, the Gunter family is left searching for a new place to stay, thankful that the situation wasn&#8217;t worse. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.
