(WCTV) &#8211; Hundreds of gallons of wastewater spilled in Tallahassee Friday evening, according to a report by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The report says that from 6:25 p.m. to 7:58 p.m. on Friday, wastewater spilled from behind a home on 3187 Connie Drive. Crews were notified of the 500-gallon wastewater spill due to reports of an odor. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The FDEP report revealed that a \u201cfaulty manhole insert pan that lodged in the 8-inch gravity main\u201d caused a blockage, which led to the spill. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The department also said the wastewater spilled into Lafayette Creek. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-center\">More Tallahassee news:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Cleanup for the untreated wastewater spill is reportedly completed as the obstruction was removed, flow was restored and 250 gallons were recovered. Crews cleaned, disinfected, and disposed of the area of debris, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Water quality sampling was also taken and is ongoing.
