Suspect in custody at Wawa on Missouri Avenue<\/p>\nLARGO \u2014 A St. Petersburg man has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a scooter rider Saturday night on Seminole Boulevard in Largo.<\/p>\n
According to information gathered at the scene, the crash occurred at approximately 10:56 p.m. on June 6, 2026, in the northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard, south of 8th Avenue Southeast.<\/p>\n

Officers with the Largo Police Department responded to the area and located an injured male who had been riding a scooter. Officers immediately began administering CPR while awaiting the arrival of emergency crews.<\/p>\n
Firefighters and paramedics from both Largo Fire Rescue and Seminole Fire Rescue responded to the scene. Medics continued life-saving efforts before transporting the victim to HCA Florida Largo Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
Witness information obtained at the scene indicated the scooter rider had been struck by a red Honda sedan that fled the area.<\/p>\n
A short time later, officers located a vehicle matching that description at the Wawa convenience store near Missouri Avenue and Rosery Road. Investigators detained the driver and observed significant damage to the windshield of a 2024 red Honda Accord.<\/p>\n

The driver was identified as Raman Pantsialeyenka, 44, of St. Petersburg. He was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.<\/p>\n
