TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – For the sixth straight year, Ronnie Harrison returned to the high school that raised him to host a football camp for over 100 local kids.<\/p>\n
The camp was open for 6- to 18-year-olds.<\/p>\n
Harrison, a linebacker who is about to enter his ninth season in the NFL, said he is grateful to give back to the community that raised him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are actually a few kids who, like you said, came their first year, and have came year after year after year. And I\u2019ve seen them grow up right in front of my eyes. Watching their growth makes it exciting and makes me want to come back,\u201d said Harrison. \u201cI just hope that I encourage them to go chase their dream and show them that it\u2019s real. Hopefully they grow up and follow in my footsteps and give back to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harrison says he will continue hosting the camp as long as the kids keep signing up.<\/p>\n
