(WSVN) &#8211; Nicklaus Children\u2019s Hospital gave cancer survivors a special chance to come together.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital hosted a reunion for pediatric cancer survivors on Sunday at Dave &amp; Buster\u2019s in the Dolphin Mall.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers said the event provides a stress-free environment for former patients to reconnect with their care teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to see the patients here smiling, having fun, and not getting chemotherapy, and so it\u2019s a happy day,\u201d said Ziad Khatib, director of the division of hematology at Nicklaus Children\u2019s Hospital<\/p>\n<p>Cancer survivor Jazlyn Jimenez expressed how she felt about the event with 7News. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you weren\u2019t a survivor, you will probably not be here, so it makes me happy that we\u2019re all survivors,\u201d said Jimenez<\/p>\n<p>The event celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
