Tallahassee’s yearly Tomato Feastival was causing traffic jams around the back entrance to Goodwood Museum and Gardens on Sunday. More than a thousand friends, farmers, chefs, and food lovers filled Goodwood’s grounds on Sunday, June 7.<\/p>\n
It was the 21st Feastival, which began as a small gathering at Louise Devine’s Turkey Hill Farm. She was a bit amazed by what it’s become.<\/p>\n
“I mean, there were a lot (of people) last year, but….wow……WOW!” she exclaimed.<\/p>\n
Despite the name of the event, tomatoes aren’t the only farm-fresh produce in the spotlight. Jen Brockheimer with Sienna Lee Gardens was showing off a very impressive blueberry crop.<\/p>\n
“After Jubilee (Blueberries) closed down, we’re now known for our blueberries and that’s what everybody likes to come out and pick.”<\/p>\n
