TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A former Tallahassee postal worker pleaded guilty to several charges including theft of a mail key, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n
Taija Avion Smith, 25, pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit mail theft, theft of a mail key, bank fraud conspiracy and multiple counts of aggravated identity theft.<\/p>\n
Jaheed Anthony Williams, 24, also from Tallahassee, pleaded guilty to those same charges. <\/p>\n
Court documents show that between March 2021 and May 2024, Smith was a postal employee in Tallahassee. Due to her job, she had access to a postal key, which she is accused of stealing and giving to Williams. <\/p>\n
