In a release on Monday<\/a>, Sheriff Wayne Ivey said that the man \u2014 identified as Lucas Stedman, 48 \u2014 committed the act earlier last month.<\/p>\n\u201cHe decided that it would be a good idea to shoot a cat in the eye with a high-powered BB gun and kill the cat,\u201d Ivey said. \u201cHe was upset because the cat that lived at the same place didn\u2019t get along with his cat or something \u2014 I don\u2019t know what kind of outrageous nutjob thinks that\u2019s a good idea.”<\/p>\n
Ivey said that Stedman has been arrested on a charge of aggravated animal cruelty with a $50,000 bond.<\/p>\n
However, when Ivey confronted him during the arrested, Stedman stated that he \u201cwouldn\u2019t hurt an animal,\u201d the sheriff added.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, no, you didn\u2019t hurt an animal,\u201d Ivey said. \u201cYou killed an animal and shot it in the eye with a BB gun. So enjoy your stay at the Lodge; that\u2019s where your butt\u2019s going.\u201d <\/p>\n
