{"id":301427,"date":"2026-06-09T15:50:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/301427\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T15:50:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:50:08","slug":"city-to-host-public-workshop-on-adaptation-plan-sanibel-captiva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/301427\/","title":{"rendered":"City to host public workshop on Adaptation Plan &#8211; SANIBEL-CAPTIVA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The city of Sanibel will present an Adaptation Plan Workshop on June 17 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in MacKenzie Hall (city council chambers) at City Hall, at 800 Dunlop Road, Sanibel, and via Zoom.<\/p>\n<p>The interactive workshop will be an opportunity to provide input on future strategies, proprieties and solutions that will help protect the island\u2019s neighborhoods, infrastructure and natural systems from climate-related flood impacts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoin us for a public workshop to share your ideas and help guide the development of the citywide Adaptation Plan focused on reducing flood risks and strengthening community resilience,\u201d it reported.<\/p>\n<p>The topics to be covered will include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Statewide Resilient Florida Program<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Sanibel Flood Vulnerability Assessment<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Adaptation for flood risk reduction<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Community priorities and public input<\/p>\n<p>RSVPs are requested.
