{"id":301608,"date":"2026-06-09T18:44:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T18:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/301608\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T18:44:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T18:44:10","slug":"florida-woman-stabbed-with-sword-robbed-near-key-west-deputies-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/301608\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida woman stabbed with sword, robbed near Key West, deputies say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four people were arrested over the weekend after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Florida<\/a> deputies said a woman was stabbed with a sword and robbed near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/key-west\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Key West<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to information provided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/monroe-county-sheriffs-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Monroe County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a>, deputies responded to the Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island, east of Key West, around 3:45 p.m. Sunday regarding a woman with a stab wound.<\/p>\n<p>The victim said she was also robbed of her laptop and medication during the incident, which took place in a camper on 10th Avenue earlier in the day, according to deputies.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/stabbing\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">stab<\/a> wound, which punctured the woman&#8217;s lung, did not appear to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p>Those who were arrested included:<\/p>\n<p>Marlon Albero Bernal Cabrera, 20, of Stock Island, Florida, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and kidnapping\/false imprisonment.Jasmine Elizabeth Jones, 29, of Stock Island, Florida, was charged with kidnapping\/false imprisonment.Zjiavon Deaute Green, 31, of Stock Island, Forida, was charged with kidnapping\/false imprisonment.Arlem Cristina Silva Cruz, 39, of Stock Island, Florida, was charged with kidnapping\/false imprisonment, possession of methamphetamine, possession of prescription pills without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p>According to deputies, Bernal Cabrera stabbed the victim during the altercation while the other suspects held her down, or hit her, or otherwise prevented her from leaving.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects then eventually allowed the victim to change out of her bloodly clothes and then go to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said Silva Cruz was in possession of a Diazepam pill, methamphetamine, and a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue when she was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The sword used in the incident, as well as the bloody clothes belonging to the victim, were found at the scene during the investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__tags__label\">In:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Four people were arrested over the weekend after Florida deputies said a woman was stabbed with a sword&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":301609,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[28,30,2472,29,2559,5696,56934,807,6006],"class_list":["post-301608","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-florida","tag-florida","tag-florida-headlines","tag-florida-keys","tag-florida-news","tag-key-west","tag-monroe-county","tag-monroe-county-sheriff039s-office","tag-south-florida","tag-stabbing"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/301608","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=301608"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/301608\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/301609"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=301608"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=301608"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=301608"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
