Free community event will connect seniors with local agencies, programs, and services | JEA and BEAM will co-host Senior Day at the Beaches, a free resource fair designed to connect seniors with community partner resources that can help them age independently, reach their goals and save money.<\/p>\n
The event builds on JEA\u2019s existing Senior Day program by meeting customers where they are and bringing important services closer to the Beaches community. Seniors and caregivers will have the opportunity to speak directly with local agencies and organizations about programs related to utility assistance, health resources, transportation, aging services, property issues, library services, community support and more.<\/p>\n
BEAM will also have a limited quantity of giveaway items available for attendees, including groceries, while supplies last. JEA will provide a limited number of water conservation kits designed to help customers reduce water use at home. The kits include practical items such as low-flow faucet aerators, shower timers, leak-detection dye tablets, and other conservation tools that can help customers identify leaks, use water more efficiently and lower water-related costs.<\/p>\n
Important reminder:\u00a0Customers seeking bill relief must contact United Way 2-1-1.<\/p>\n
JEA will continue to host its regular Senior Day event at JEA headquarters on June 17.<\/p>\n
