TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida\u2019s First Lady is promoting her plan to meet the needs of families in poverty.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, at a Florida Chamber of Commerce event in Tampa, Casey DeSantis advocated for a stronger union between the state\u2019s private sector and faith community.<\/p>\n
She referenced Hope Florida\u2019s plan to collaborate with the Florida Chamber of Commerce\u2019s Prosperity Initiative.<\/p>\n
She spoke about the need for more tangible results to relieve Florida families and the role that Hope Navigators serve.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day, you can say economic self-sufficiency, you can say prosperity, but for me it\u2019s happiness. I don\u2019t want to walk by somebody who\u2019s on the side of the road and think there\u2019s nothing we can do. Yeah, there\u2019s a lot we can do,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
Hope Florida has faced scrutiny <\/a>in the past over an alleged missing $10 million donation.
