<\/p>\nST PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 A married couple is rebuilding after losing part of their home to a car crash that sparked a fire in a neighborhood along 14th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know how our future is going to go from here, but we\u2019re going to make it work,\u201d said Sandra Henderson. \u201cIt\u2019s going to take some time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sandra and Abbott Henderson described the moment a stolen Honda Accord crashed into their living room around 3 a.m. Monday morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cI woke up, it sounded like somebody dropped a bomb on the house, the house was on fire,\u201d said Abbott Henderson.<\/p>\n
According to St. Pete Police, the driver stole the car from where it was left overnight, parked over 3.5 miles away.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife was confused, I\u2019m trying to explain to her what\u2019s going on, get out the house is on fire we\u2019ve got to get out the house now,\u201d said Abbott.<\/p>\n
The two made it out of the home unscathed, but their home of 30 years is another story.<\/p>\n
\u201cI never could have imagined that it would have been this house,\u201d said Sandra. \u201cWhy? Just why.\u201d<\/p>\n
On a neighbor\u2019s security camera footage, provided by police, the suspect is seen limping away after the crash.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s horrible,\u201d said Sandra. \u201cI hope they find him, so that he can pay for all of this.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re just young and foolish, that\u2019s all I can say,\u201d said Abbott. \u201cBut I\u2019m going to do the best I can to rebuild and keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition to the damage on their home, Sandra says her car she parked safely in the driveway earlier is now totaled.<\/p>\n

Above that, the pair says they\u2019re grateful for their neighbors who, after word got around, are stopping by to check on them.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody\u2019s been coming by, making sure we\u2019re okay,\u201d said Sandra. \u201cThey want to help out.\u201d<\/p>\n
