Island Hopper<\/a> is excited to welcome veteran singer-songwriter Edwin McCain. Best known for his timeless hits including \u201cI\u2019ll Be\u201d and \u201cI Could Not Ask for More,\u201d McCain had his major label breakthrough in the mid-\u201990s. The Top 40 radio star has spent decades building a loyal fanbase for his heartfelt songwriting and dynamic live performances.<\/p>\n Most recently, McCain has been touring with Hootie & the Blowfish, Collective Soul and Train. The relatively new music spot in downtown Fort Myers, the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater will host the festival\u2019s \u201cStars on the River\u201d concert on Thursday, Sept. 24. PROVIDED<\/p>\n Alexandra Kay<\/p>\n Alexandra Kay has emerged as one of country music\u2019s fastest rising artists earning millions of followers across social media through her authentic storytelling, powerful vocals and relatable songwriting.<\/p>\n The BMI<\/a> singer-songwriter recently released her sophomore album, \u201cSecond Wind,\u201d and headlined her third tour featuring her single \u201cStraight for the Heart.\u201d Her debut album, \u201cAll I\u2019ve Ever Known,\u201d reached No. 1 on the iTunes All Genre and Country charts and earned her a Top 10 on Billboard\u2019s Current Country Album.<\/p>\n Making its Island Hopper debut, Caloosa Sound Amphitheater<\/a> will host the festival\u2019s \u201cStars on the River\u201d concert in downtown Fort Myers on Thursday, Sept. 24, featuring Alexandra Kay as the opening act.<\/p>\n In its 12th year, Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, named one of the Top 5 music fests by USA Today 10 Best Readers\u2019 Choice Awards<\/a>, gives fans the opportunity to see the country\u2019s top singer-songwriters perform up close with a tropical setting as the backdrop.<\/p>\n In addition to the headlining performances, more than 60 BMI<\/a> singer-songwriters will perform more than 80 performances during the 10-day music fest.
