The city of Cape Coral invites residents and visitors to honor our nation\u2019s flag at the 2026 Flag Day Celebration. City leaders will mark this patriotic occasion with a ceremony honoring the enduring symbol of the country\u2019s unity and freedom.<\/p>\n
The event will take place Sunday, June 14, at 9 a.m., at the Veterans Memorial Area in Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve,\u00a02500 S.E. 24th St.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The event is open to the general public, and no reservations are required to attend.<\/p>\n
Fuller Metz Funeral Home will be providing a flag drop-off station, allowing residents to respectfully retire any American Flag that is no longer suitable for display.<\/p>\n
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the United States flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.
