{"id":303838,"date":"2026-06-11T12:52:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/303838\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T12:52:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:52:14","slug":"china-grill-opens-at-bal-harbour-shops-near-miami-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/303838\/","title":{"rendered":"China Grill opens at Bal Harbour Shops near Miami Beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/inside1.JPG\"   width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" title=\"China Grill has returned, this time to the Bal Harbour Shops.\" alt=\"China Grill has returned, this time to the Bal Harbour Shops.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>        China Grill has returned, this time to the Bal Harbour Shops.<\/p>\n<p>            World Red Eye<\/p>\n<p>China Grill, the South Beach restaurant that ushered in a new era of upscale dining and partying in Miami, has made a return to South Florida \u2014 but this time, it\u2019s not in Miami Beach.<\/p>\n<p>The iconic spot from restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow is now open at Bal Harbour Shops, in the former space of the French restaurant Le Zoo, which <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/miami-com\/restaurants\/article303658786.html\">closed in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chodorow, who opened the the first China Grill in New York City in 1987 and the Miami Beach restaurant in 1995, said the luxurious open-air shopping mecca, home to such restaurants as Carpaccio, Makoto and new(ish) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/miami-com\/restaurants\/article315072956.html\">Slim\u2019s Steakhouse<\/a>, worked for the concept. World Red Eye                                                                                        <\/p>\n<p>The new China Grill seats 160 diners and serves lunch and dinner. The menu offers many of the original\u2019s most famous dishes, like the beloved lobster pancakes and lamb spare ribs.<\/p>\n<p>As they did in the good old days, dumplings also play a huge part of the menu, particularly the popular spicy beef dumplings. There are new dumplings, too, including a black and gold black cod dumpling.<\/p>\n<p>You can expect salads, too: calamari salad, Peking duck salad and a brand-new Singapore 17 vegetable salad with an umi salted plum dressing.
