If you\u2019ve ever wondered what it takes to break a world record, then Fort Lauderdale\u2019s Museum of Discovery and Science<\/a> (MODS) has the summer exhibit for you! <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Science of Guinness World Records\u201d puts guests into the center of the action, turning curiosity into competition at this new, high-energy experience. Running through Sept. 7, this traveling exhibition reveals the secrets behind some of the most surprising Guinness World Records ever set and challenges guests to re-think what they might be able to achieve.<\/p>\n

What does a Guinness World Records have to do with science, you ask? This exhibit reveals the biology, psychology, and mechanics behind many of these record-setting feats. How does someone develop the ability to do 36 consecutive pull-ups using only their pinky fingers? What does it take to create the world\u2019s smallest stop-motion film? What inspires someone to solve three Rubik\u2019s Cubes simultaneously? Throughout the exhibition, guests will discover that behind every astonishing achievement is not magic, but science.<\/p>\n

What to expect at \u201cThe Science of Guinness World Records\u201d<\/p>\n

Intro: An immersive opening that traces the origins of Guinness World Records and its evolution into a global authority on record-breaking.<\/p>\n

Ignite: Guests learn what it takes to qualify for an official record through interactive challenges that introduce the scientific criteria behind record validation.<\/p>\n

Explore: Guests dive into astonishing feats and step into Attempt Arenas, where high scores, strategy, and determination take center stage.<\/p>\n

Focus: Precision meets practice as guests sharpen concentration through memory-based challenges, tactile puzzles, and interactive games inspired by real record-holders.<\/p>\n

React: Guests test reaction time, track performance on live leaderboards, and discover how the brain and body work together under pressure.<\/p>\n

Endure: Strength and stamina challenges, including hang bars and balance experiences.<\/p>\n

Finale: Stories of record holders come to life and guests can capture the moment with official Guinness World Records-style certificates.<\/p>\n

The best part? You can attempt to break as many world records as you\u2019d like over the summer because \u201cThe Science of Guinness World Records\u201d is included in the 2026 South Florida Adventure Pass<\/a>! At $60 plus tax per adult and ages 13+, and $50 plus tax per child (ages 3-12), the pass grants unlimited admission to MODS as well as four other local attractions like Butterfly World, Flamingo Gardens, Sawgrass Recreation Park, and Zoo Miami.<\/p>\n

MODS is open seven days a week, 365 days a year; Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Museum ticket prices are $29.50 for adults; $27.50 for seniors 65+; $26.50 for active\/retired military personnel; $23.50 for children 1 to 12.
