{"id":304207,"date":"2026-06-11T19:05:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T19:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/304207\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T19:05:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T19:05:19","slug":"florida-companies-partner-to-help-properties-reduce-flood-risk-before-storms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/304207\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida companies partner to help properties reduce flood risk before storms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">A Miami-based insurance and risk management firm is partnering with a flood protection company to help businesses, condominium associations and multifamily communities reduce flood risk before storms hit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Exodus and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aquafence.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:AquaFence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;AquaFence&quot;}\" class=\"link \">AquaFence<\/a> announced the partnership Thursday, saying it will combine flood protection systems, financing and insurance solutions for properties vulnerable to flooding and storm surge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The companies said the partnership is designed for condominium associations, multifamily communities, businesses and critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">At the center of the effort is AquaFence\u2019s deployable flood-barrier technology, which is designed to help keep floodwater away from vulnerable parts of buildings, including electrical systems, elevators, parking garages and generators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The companies said AquaFence systems are already used at Tampa General Hospital, Naples Comprehensive Health and other Florida properties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">\u201cToo often, building owners discover the limitations of their flood coverage only after a loss occurs,\u201d Hector C.
