UPDATE: 11\/02\/2025 1110 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office says it is asking anyone with information about this morning\u2019s deadly fire to call police.<\/p>\n

During a press JSP Sgt. S.D. Dishman said that officers were dispatched after receiving a call about a residential fire.<\/p>\n

After the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) put out the blaze, emergency responders found a deceased adult male inside the residence. <\/p>\n

JSO says, \u201cDetectives with the Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Unit, and the State Fire Marshal are on scene to conduct an investigation. We are working with the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office and the classification is pending.\u201d<\/p>\n

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – At least one person is reported to be dead after a structure fire in Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department<\/a> are on the scene after being called at approximately 7:00am [EDITOR\u2019S NOTE: Corrected from 10:05am] to 1900 West 26th Street. The location is near the intersection of Spires Avenue.<\/p>\n
