(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\">WWSB<\/a>) &#8211; A building that was the home of a former Avon Park night club was destroyed in a Wednesday night fire, Highlands County Fire Rescue said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze at the former Beachfront Night Club building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The 10,000-square-foot building was declared a total loss, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Due to the size of the building and the extent of the fire, crews remained on scene well into the early morning hours conducting suppression operations and overhaul activities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/2026\/06\/09\/fire-crews-contain-structure-fire-osprey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/2026\/06\/09\/fire-crews-contain-structure-fire-osprey\/\">Fire crews contain structure fire in Osprey<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The building had been an iconic part of Avon Park\u2019s history, said Fire Chief William Kingston. The owner had been working to restore the property, he said. \u201cMany residents remember the pink building and the role it played in the community for decades.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe recognize that this loss will be felt by many people who have a connection to this place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">One person was living in the building as the renovations were underway. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The State Fire Marshal\u2019s Office has been requested to assist with determining the origin and cause of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WWSB.
