Florida Highway Patrol said the man was driving the semi-truck south on the interstate when he veered into the median.<\/p>\n
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 A 69-year-old Jacksonville man suffered critical injuries in a fiery semi-truck crash on I-95 in St. Johns County Thursday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
The crash caused all southbound and northbound lanes on the interstate to shut down temporarily.<\/p>\n
According to FHP, the man was driving a semi-truck south on I-95 near State Road 207 at 10:18 a.m. when he veered left, crossed the left lane and entered the median.<\/p>\n
FHP said the semi-truck then overturned on top of the guardrail and became engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n
The man was then taken to UF Health Shands Gainesville. No other drivers were reported injured.<\/p>\n
Troopers said it is unclear at this time what caused the man to veer off the interstate.
