previously reported<\/a>, crews were called to the area of West River Road on reports of a body in the water around 8:40 am. <\/p>\nTRENDING STORIES:<\/p>\n
News Center 7 obtained the 911 call that brought first responders to the scene. <\/p>\n
\u201cMe and my buddy are out here fishing the Great Miami River, and we just seen a (expletive) body,\u201d the caller told dispatchers. <\/p>\n
The call came in just before 9 a.m. on Saturday. <\/p>\n
The caller said they always fish in this spot, but have never seen this. <\/p>\n
He then starts explaining where the body was found. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re down the closest ramp is East River Road,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re on the Dayton side. We\u2019re probably a quarter mile, maybe a half mile from the Dryden Bridge downstream.\u201d<\/p>\n
He then explains that the body was stuck on a log. <\/p>\n
When they first arrived at the fishing spot, everything seemed normal. <\/p>\n
But not long after, is when they made the discovery. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe didn\u2019t want to get too close. I think it\u2019s a man,\u201d the caller said. <\/p>\n
The Montgomery County Coroner\u2019s Office confirmed to News Center 7 that they were called to the scene. <\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know if they bring boats or what they do, but yeah, you can have the police come to the ramp, and we\u2019ll pick them up if we have to,\u201d the caller said. <\/p>\n
