Born at St. Pete General, he attended Perkins Elementary, Thurgood Marshall and Sanderlin Middle Schools, and graduated from Northeast High School.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Driven by a deep desire to serve, Jackson went on to join the U.S. Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Specialist. He was actively supporting our troops in the Middle East while assigned to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in Tampa when he received his diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">June 26, 2026, would have been Jackson\u2019s 25th birthday.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">What are we raising money for?<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">The Jackson Copeland Foundation (JCF) is a St. Pete-based, registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Every dollar raised at this event goes directly toward funding vital leukemia research and providing critical, hands-on support to young adult leukemia patients and their families as they navigate the devastating realities of this disease.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-14387\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/20220422_085040-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"jackson copeland in hospital bed\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">What\u2019s with the name?<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/2693.svg\" alt=\"\u2693\"\/>\u00a0Anchors:\u00a0Our nautical theme is a direct tribute to Jackson\u2019s service in the U.S. Navy, as well as his father\u2019s (JCF Founder &amp; CEO, Jeff Copeland) service in the U.S. Coast Guard. It serves as a permanent, heartfelt salute to all veterans and active-duty servicemembers.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f3b8.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\udfb8\"\/>\u00a0Anthems:\u00a0Jackson was a massive music lover who believed in living loudly. We will be raising hell, rocking out, and celebrating his spirit with live music from St. Pete\u2019s very own Geoff Proud Band!<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,2,0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f37b.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\udf7b\"\/>\u00a0Ales:\u00a0We are proud to partner with Bayboro Brewing Co., a massive supporter of local charities and veterans. Located in the heart of St. Pete\u2019s Warehouse Arts District, their beautiful facility offers a classic lineup of microbrews\u2014from porters and pilsners to lagers and IPAs. Not a beer drinker?
