DESTIN, Fla. \u2014 A dog named Eeyore led a Florida<\/a> sheriff\u2019s deputy to an 86-year-old woman who had gone missing after falling while walking him, according to bodycam footage.<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s husband reported her missing on the night of September 25 after she did not return from a walk in their Destin neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe just takes that dog, but she never takes more than 10 or 15 minutes,\u201d the worried husband told Okaloosa County Sheriff\u2019s Deputy Devon Miller, according to the footage released Monday.<\/p>\n

Deputy Devon Miller was patrolling the neighborhood when she noticed Eeyore in the middle of the road. The dog trotted up to the deputy, who responded: \u201cHi! Where\u2019s your mommy?\u201d<\/p>\n

The dog then led her to the nearby spot where the woman had fallen. \u201cHe practically dragged me to her,\u201d Miller later said in a video the department released on social media Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The woman, who was alert and later taken to a medical facility, was astonished that Eeyore had guided the deputy to her, noting that it wasn\u2019t even her dog. \u201cHe came up to your car?\u201d the woman asked Miller. \u201cOh, sweetheart. … Oh Eeyore, you\u2019re such a good boy. Grandma loves you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanks to Eeyore\u2019s actions, the woman was located and given medical care, showcasing the dog\u2019s surprising heroism.<\/p>\n
