(WITN) &#8211; One local nonprofit is helping young writers become published authors. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Youth Salvage Project started as a small local initiative and has grown into a comprehensive support system to make sure no young person is left behind. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Founder Aquila Sharpless is an author himself, who started the initiative to raise reading levels and give children a head start.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Aquila Sharpless, along with Irisson Venters and Veyah Sharpless, child authors, joined ENC at Three to share more about their stories.
