On Facebook, Pia\u2019s announced it would offer free meals to families in need starting Nov. 1.<\/p>\n<p>Pia\u2019s Veranda Offers Free SNAP Meals<\/p>\n<p>Pia\u2019s calls it the \u201cGovernment Shutdown To-Go Special.\u201d This is a free pasta dinner available Wednesday through Sunday between 5 and 6 p.m. No purchase is required, and no questions will be asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe at Pia\u2019s believe no family should go hungry. Let us help feed your family until things turn back to normal,\u201d the business wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Pia\u2019s Veranda is at 3038 Beach Blvd. S., across the street from the original Pia\u2019s Trattoria.<\/p>\n<p>Other Tampa Bay restaurants offering free meals for children during the SNAP interruption include Gigglewaters in Safety Harbor and Skipper\u2019s Smokehouse in Tampa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No one knows more about small businesses in Pinellas County than Ester Venouziou, founder of LocalShops1 and Shopapalooza Festival.
