{"id":309688,"date":"2026-06-16T21:06:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T21:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/309688\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T21:06:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T21:06:12","slug":"alligator-camp-opens-in-the-grand-central-district-with-vintage-finds-sourced-from-local-storage-units-and-estates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/309688\/","title":{"rendered":"Alligator Camp opens in the Grand Central District with vintage finds sourced from local storage units and estates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cI hope that we can appeal to people who maybe want something a little different in the vintage scene; I\u2019d like to create some sort of swampy wonderland that&#8217;s ever changing, but isn&#8217;t rooted in clearing out a store down the street,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Since all of the storage units that Vargus clears out are located in the greater Tampa Bay area, many of the items that Alligator Camp sells are Florida-themed, including kitschy decor adorned with oranges, dolphins, Disney characters, and, of course, alligators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Bradford also repurposes pre-owned clothing into merchandise for Alligator Camp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cGetting to create our own branding and merch is definitely one of my favorite parts of the business; we\u2019re really trying to create something different within the vintage space,\u201d Bradford said. \u201cMy dream is to become the sort of St. Pete staple that people bring their kids to for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Although the shop has only been open for a few weeks, VHS tapes, DVDs, cassettes, and vinyl records have emerged as early best-sellers.
