MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 Family members of Leomar Suris, 36, believe he was the man killed in an explosion<\/a> on Monday morning at a Miami-Dade County facility.<\/p>\n

His wife, Madiari Suris, said although the pair no longer lived together, they were good co-parents to their 2 and 7 year olds.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got two babies. And I have to tell them they don\u2019t have a dad anymore,\u201d Suris said.<\/p>\n

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, the explosion occurred<\/a> just after 10 a.m. Monday at 6100 SW 87th Ave., a county fuel and equipment facility. <\/p>\n

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Ray Jadallah confirmed that after the explosion, crews found an overhang that was destroyed and an active fire coming from underground.<\/p>\n

Four people were injured and one died. <\/p>\n

Suris said she did not yet have official confirmation from MDSO but that the family was told to start making arrangements. <\/p>\n

The pair met when they were 20, Suris said. <\/p>\n

Family told Local 10 he worked at a private gas company and always enjoyed his work. <\/p>\n

The incident is still under investigation by MDSO homicide detectives as well as the state fire marshal.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was loved by a lot of people. He had many friends. He loved his job. He was obsessed with his kids. His daughter and his son,\u201d Suris said through tears. <\/p>\n
