Are you ready for a new Whole Foods<\/a> store in Florida?<\/p>\n

How about four more?<\/p>\n

The grocery store is opening a new store in Brevard County in early November. It’s the third new Whole Foods in Florida this year.<\/p>\n

And more are in development in the Sunshine State.<\/p>\n

The Texas-based grocery chain said it is the “world’s leading natural and organic foods retailer<\/a>” and also the first “certified organic national grocer” in the United States.<\/p>\n

Here’s what to know about the grocery store’s plans in Florida.<\/p>\n

Whole Foods opening new grocery store in Viera, Florida<\/p>\n

A new Whole Foods will open <\/a>at 2035 Viera Blvd. at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6.<\/p>\n

The 37,000-square-foot location will be Whole Foods’ first store in Brevard County.<\/p>\n

On opening morning, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee samples and bites from local vendors. The first 300 in line will receive a limited-edition Viera tote bag and a coupon with discounts of up to $100.<\/p>\n

Whole Foods has opened eight new stores in the U.S.<\/a> so far this year, plus another in England. Two of those new stores were in Florida:<\/p>\n

“We do have a few Florida stores that are currently in development,” said Carrie Rodgers Hunte, Whole Foods corporate communications, in an Oct. 9 email.<\/p>\n

Opening dates are not available at this time, Hunte said.<\/p>\n

How is Whole Foods different from other grocery stores?<\/p>\n

“We seek out the finest natural and organic foods<\/a> available, maintain the strictest quality standards in the industry, and have an unshakeable commitment to sustainable agriculture,” Whole Foods posted on its website.<\/p>\n

The company was founded in Austin, Texas, in 1980.<\/p>\n

Known for selling organic and natural items, all foods and products sold at Whole Food Market must meet the company’s quality standards.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Our standards prohibit over 300 preservatives<\/a>, flavors, colors, sweeteners and other ingredients from all food we sell. Even better, our banned list continues to grow,” Whole Foods said.<\/p>\n

How many Whole Foods are there in Florida, US?<\/p>\n

As of Oct. 9, there are 32 Whole Foods stores in Florida, according to Hunte.<\/p>\n

There are 528 stores in the U.S., although another new store will be opening<\/a> Oct. 23 in Arlington, Virginia.<\/p>\n

How does Whole Foods compare to Publix on number of Florida stores?<\/p>\n

According to data company ScrapeHero, there were 1,464 Publix stores in eight states <\/a>as of Sept. 22, 2025.<\/p>\n

The most stores are located in Florida: 907. The supermarket chain has its headquarters in Lakeland.<\/a><\/p>\n
