JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KATV) \u2014 The Jacksonville North Pulaski School District said that it reported an allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a district employee and a former Jacksonville High School student to state and local authorities.<\/p>\n
In a message sent to parents and guardians, district officials said it is not yet known whether the alleged incident occurred on or off of school property. <\/p>\n
They did provide details about the conduct involved in the alleged incident.<\/p>\n
According to the district, administrators immediately notified the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline and Jacksonville Police Department after receiving the report. Both agencies are conducting separate investigations.<\/p>\n
District officials said they could not provide additional details due to the ongoing nature of the investigations and privacy laws.<\/p>\n
School officials noted that classes are not currently in session for the summer and that the employee is not on campus.<\/p>\n
The district said it will continue cooperating with investigators and follow all required procedures as the matter moves forward.<\/p>\n
“The safety, well-being, and security of our scholars remain our highest priorities,” the district said in its statement.<\/p>\n
