If convicted, Harris faces a minimum of 15 years&#8217; imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Attorney Jack Heekin of the Northern District of Florida announced the indictment, which charged Harris with &#8220;knowingly possess(ing) a firearm, to wit: a SCCY 9 millimeter caliber pistol, and ammunition, namely Speer, Winchester, and Federal 9 millimeter caliber ammunition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris had been previously convicted, starting in the late 1990s, on state assault and battery, drug and other charges, the indictment said.<\/p>\n<p>Harris is being represented by the Federal Public Defender&#8217;s Office, court dockets show. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Meredith L.
