TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) –The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a vehicle with stolen license plates<\/a> after troopers say it led them on a pursuit across Tallahassee Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

According to FHP, the chase lasted just under an hour. Troopers say it began near Thomasville Road and Bradfordville Road before continuing north to the Florida-Georgia line. Authorities say the driver then headed back south toward the area of Gum Road and Capital Circle Southwest.<\/p>\n

Viewer video captured sirens lighting up the roadway as law enforcement pursued the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Many people shared their experiences on WCTV\u2019s social media pages following the chase. One person said she was run off the road, along with several other drivers.<\/p>\n

Sarah Wright says she had a similar experience while driving on Capital Circle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was turning on to Capital Circle off of Orange Avenue, and just at the right time I happened to look in my rear view mirror and there was a guy absolutely barreling through traffic, and I happened to be able to safely pull off into the shoulder and he flew past me and flew past a group of 4 or 5 cars in front of me,\u201d Wright said.<\/p>\n

Wright says the driver was moving fast and driving erratically. She says she\u2019s still shaken up by what happened and is thankful she wasn\u2019t hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was definitely very scary for me. I\u2019m glad I was able to check my mirrors as quickly as possible. I definitely could tell the cars in front of me were trying to do what I was doing, trying to get into a safe spot away from the guy,\u201d Wright said.<\/p>\n

WCTV has received reports of several hit-and-run crashes along Capital Circle. FHP says it has not determined whether those incidents are connected to the pursuit.<\/p>\n

As of Wednesday night, the vehicle had not been located. FHP is also not releasing the stolen license plate number at this time.<\/p>\n
