On top of this, a surge of tropical moisture will move into the region, making widespread and torrential rain as rain chances pick up through the end of the work week. Some areas could see 3\u20135 inches of rain after these storms roll through, so be careful of the potential for flooding.<\/p>\n

An uptick in moisture will mean higher chances of these afternoon and evening storms starting tomorrow and lasting into Saturday and Sunday. For Father’s Day there will be dry morning followed by afternoon heavy rain and storms.<\/p>\n

Temperatures will be a few degrees lower, closer to the low 90s for highs in many spots but it will still feel as if it is in the triple digits for heat indices.<\/p>\n

Tropical Storm Arthur is expected to be a short-lived storm as it follows along the gulf coast of Texas to the NE inland over Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.<\/p>\n

Regardless of strength, heavy flooding and rainfall is likely for Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, where 8-10″+ will be possible.<\/p>\n

Tropical Storm Watches and Warnings are already in place for coastal Texas and Louisiana.<\/p>\n

After making landfall, this system will continue to weaken into a remnant low, most likely by later tonight or Thursday afternoon. There are no direct impacts to Central Florida expected, but the panhandle could be seeing the potential for flooding due to heavy rain.<\/p>\n
