{"id":31190,"date":"2025-11-03T12:58:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T12:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/31190\/"},"modified":"2025-11-03T12:58:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T12:58:08","slug":"florida-boyfriend-who-killed-pregnant-teen-for-refusing-abortion-faces-death-penalty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/31190\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida boyfriend who killed pregnant teen for refusing abortion faces death penalty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A psychotic, two-timing Florida man <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/08\/29\/florida-man-accused-of-shooting-pregnant-girlfriend-kaylin-fiengo-dead\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">killed his pregnant teenage girlfriend<\/a> and her unborn child after she refused to get an abortion \u2014 and is now facing the death penalty.<\/p>\n<p>Donovan Faison, 23, was convicted last week of murdering Kaylin Fiengo, 18, who was found shot dead in her car beside an ultrasound image in Nov. 2022 after she sent him the results of two positive pregnancy tests \u2014 to which he texted back, \u201cAbortion!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He \u201cerupted\u201d and felt \u201cangry and pressured\u201d because he was living with another woman who suspected him of cheating at the time, <a href=\"https:\/\/sa18.org\/press-release\/sanford-man-convicted-of-murder-for-shooting-girlfriend-who-refused-abortion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to a release from the Sanford Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kaylin Fiengo,18, was found shot to death in a car in 2022. Facebook \/ Kaylin Fiengo<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn my brothers [sic] grave, I\u2019m gonna crop her out,\u201d he texted a friend about the teen, who was already the mom of a toddler, Ace. <\/p>\n<p>Shortly after sending the text, Faison lured Fiengo to a meeting at Coastline Park in Sanford \u2014 just north of Orlando \u2014 the night she was found dead in the driver\u2019s seat of her running car after she had told a friend she was going to meet him there.<\/p>\n<p>Donovan Faison, 23, was convicted by a jury on charges of first-degree murder, killing an unborn child and burglary, and now could face the death penalty. Office of the State Attorney 18th Judicial Circuit<\/p>\n<p>A bullet casing and an ultrasound image were found near Fiengo\u2019s body, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was an execution-style killing,\u201d prosecutor Stewart Stone said, telling jurors they \u201cshould consider the cold, calculated, premeditated nature of this killing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An ultrasound photo was found near her body, police said. Office of the State Attorney 18th Judicial Circuit<\/p>\n<p>Jurors voted 11-1 to recommend the death penalty, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kalb.com\/2025\/11\/03\/man-killed-18-year-old-girlfriend-after-she-refused-get-an-abortion-prosecutors-say\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KALB reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pregnant teen was at the end of her first trimester at the time of her murder.
